I was tempted to say F40, but the door line is wrong.

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

I want to say an IMSA Porche, but the air intake/rear quarter panel  doesn't look exactly right. :-/

Looks like a cross between an early/mid 80s group C/IMSA car, and a 70s prototype...

Doesn't look like a 956/962 monocoque, although certainly that era of design, or a little before. If it was it's been butchered (IMHbHO).

Me too. I have been power Goggling pictures with just about ever car related word of this type :-[

Certainly has the style of something French (such as a Rondeau) or American though.

Correct! It's the prototype March racer, S/N 01. It started pole in the 24 Hours of Daytona in 86.
