2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

Thats fine, if Mclaren need some second rate british award to make them feel better then carry on. The fact is, Ferrari won both titles that matter and won more races. In a car that was in my opinion much better looking.
The autosports award doesn't put a 1 on your car, it doesn't give you the best garage or the most prize money and most of all it doesn't wash away the fact you were caught cheating and disqualified from a championship (which would bring up the question, how can a car that wasn't actually in the championship win the award for being the best?**)

*excuse me while I place some calls to maranello and see where the lawyers are at in the appeals stage for this injustice. ;) ;D ;D

I was hoping the last line would at least help out with the irony. ;)

To be honest there are two teams who deserved the award. BMW and Williams. However its tough to really say since they dont post the criteria. Were they going by looks? I certainly wouldn't give it to Mclaren based on that. Performance? that you would need to give to ferrari winning 9 races. The only one you could give it for is reliability and they were pretty bullet proof in that area. However they lost a lot of engines in testing for that race weekend reliability.
But in reality BMW took a huge step this year, and so did Williams, both were a step ahead of the teams in their classes.

True, I think spyker get, the strangest decision to ever take, that then pays off award. I still wonder, if that safety car hadn't come out, then spyker would have had at least a lap advantage maybe more on most of the field.
