Living in the UK: get a diesel landie before the green mafia bans anything with an over 3 liters engine

Preferably a pre 1968 Series 2. MMMMM.... Nice car.

If you brought the V8 landrover then of course if was rubbish on fuel. It's a 40 year old gas guzzler. The diesels are far more economical and far from rubbish as Craig seems to think. I mean, hey, if they were rubbish cars, then why hasn't the design changed in 50 years? ;D

i get 20 mpg from my 205 cos its on throttle bodies, has a big valve head (with other mods) and a supercharger from a mini cooper s. I suppose when im not ragging it i can get about 25-28 mpg, but thats not often....
as i said before, i want the car for the strip mainly, ive got my 205 and my suzuki gixxer for the roads/track.. :)
ps. im going to view a '69 mustang in 'bullet green' tomorrow... ;D

i got ya craig, landrovers are excellent for doing what they were designed for, i had mine when i lived on a farm and it was great fun for playin in the fields/woods.
ps. i actually saw a trabant yesterday at my local pub!
