A good P-51

Postby p-51mustangfanatic » Mon May 07, 2012 12:54 pm

hey guys,
as you can tell im quite fond of a particualr aircraft. now ive been wanting to invest in a good payware that represents the aircraft in the best way possible, now ive looked at the wings of power 2 mustang and have been really tempted but have heard they may do a wings of power 3 mustang with A2A simulations aswell to make it really realistic which is what id like, does anyone have any ideas or insight to whether they will do a wings of power 3??

thanks

Yeah, A2A has been developing the P-51 with Accusim (I guess you can call that Wings of Power 3?), which will have everything from workable mechanics to physics-driven reactions.

Hmmm, thanks guys for the comments. I think I'll hold out for the accu sim mustang if and when it comes out. I've heard such good reviews about their products.

But thanks a lot

Indeed A2A will soon release (some weeks, I hope) their P-51D Mustang with Accusim.
Accusim is famous enough now so that I don't need to explain what level of quality and realism this Mustang will have.

However, I would not underestimated the WarbirdSim Mustang. This plane has set the new standard in terms of 3D beauty. From the mecanical realism point of view, it's nowhere near an Accusim bird of course, but from what I heard it has many other advantages to compensate. Other than one of the greatest pieces of modelling I've ever seen, it seems this bird also has quite a nice flight model and sounds, leading to a very good level of immersion.

I have not bought the WarbirdSim Mustang yet, because I'm waiting for the Accusim one. However, the Accusim one will be ONLY the P-51D, while WarbirdSim also has the ealier variants (with different canopies), so I might actually buy one of these too.

Ah that's really good info there, I'd like some early variants also but I'll wait for the accusim first, I hope it lives up to my expectations! But thanks for the heads up.

I forgot to mention, the B and C's are awesome.  Theres a P-51C called the Boise Bee out here, and shes just been restored, and shares the engines with the two P-40's that Warhawk Air Museum has  8-)
Here's a link to view it: http://www.warhawkairmuseum.org/
