Interesting, I've never had REX for FS9 or FSX.  Does it have an effect on framerates?

I've had REX for a good while and all I can say is it is excellent in every way.

If anything it increases frame rates a in FSX not by much but the whole thing seems a bit smoother.

And well the visuals are just amazing it adds a whole new level to the sim totally worth the price at $22!!

I'd 100% recommend it.

REX FS2004 works wonderfully for FS 2004 enthusiasts.

I picked up REX for FSX today and I think I will like it. I just did a short test flight and have occasional stutters but then after a 3.5 hr, 3.2 GB download I should do a defrag and some PC maintenance before I comment much more.  8-)
