Take my tip...

If you decide to purchase anything from Flight 1; REX/GE PRO/FS Panel Studio, etc...

Get the CD Version, and NOT the download!

I am presently having serious problems with them, in trying, and failing, to re-install my previous "Downloaded" and purchased programs from them...REX, GE Pro, and FS Panel Studio!
The money I spent on them is now wasted, as I cannot re-install the programs on my new Hard Drive...(or after a computer crash).
The re-installation and verification download process is a nightmare that no-one should be forced to experience!

Paul...FS 2004...REX...GE Pro...FS Panel Studio....I wish!... >:(...!

REX has nothing to do with Flight 1 ;) (At least, last I remembered, I thought they were competitors).

REX costs roughly about $50, depending on where you go to purchase it.

My copies of REX, GE Pro, and FS Panel Studio, were all downloaded and purchased from Flight1, as the distributor.

The nightmare occurs when trying to re-install them on a new Hard Drive and/or a new Operating system, where the original purchase details are no longer stored on the computer, only a paper record of all the details for future use.
The impossibly complex process of re-installation and verification of any, or all, of the programs, (for security reasons?), on a new computer, or upgrade to an existing computer/Laptop, etc, should not to be experienced by the unwary....
...trust me...

Been there, still suffering it!

Purchase the Compact Disc/DVD version of the program for installation/re-installation, and wait for delivery!

Paul....FS 2004.....and new Win 7 and a new Hard Drive.

I got REX from the Flight Sim Store for $43.20 AUD/$42.92 USD. Whether it is worth it depends on your value of vastly improved water, clouds, and sky. For me, it was worth it, as was GEX and UTX. However, before you

go and buy GEX and UTX for everywhere, consider this. I bought GEX and UTX for the US, but only got UTX for Europe. I think that GEX may be spilling over, as Europe looks as good to me with just UTX as the US does with

both GEX and UTX. But neither look as good as the Pacific Northwest areas covered by ORBX FTX PNW and PFJ. However, there are at least two freeware programs that will do almost as good as REX, one is for clouds, one

for water. Sorry, I can't remember the file names right now, but I think both are on the SimV server.

The freeware patchz mentioned are the following:

For water:
http://simviation.com/1/download?file=2FSWC_315.zip

For clouds:
http://simviation.com/1/download?file=HDE_1.0.zip
This does work in FSX,just don't use the ground textures. ;)

Maybe I'm wrong for assuming, but I believe these are the freeware programs here at SimV he mentioned. :-[
Maybe he can verify these to be correct.
