Sometimes you come across an incredible value for the dollar.

I have had this program for a long while, but I finally have a computer that will actually "do it justice".

I'm seriously drooling!  :o
Though having a real fellow flightsimmer with his/her own display and set of commands would be even better  :)
But seriously, wow.
Unfortunately look at my specs... I can only dream of that for the time being (or can't I)?  :'(

Just did an IFR flight hand flown from KBOS to KLGA, RW weather, activesky6.5 online updates.  Lots of AI.

Pretty amazing to tell the copilot "You have the radios" when inflight, and listen to him say "Sure" and then communicate back and forth automatically with the default ATC verbally, as appropriate.

Do you think this addon can be easily uninstalled in case I find it too resource-hungry for my lower end PC? Once installed, does it create an "uninstall" link?

I've installed the trial version and I've done a training session as required.
I've only tested it briefly, but unfortunately once FS is running it seems to pick only a small fraction of the commands I speak, as opposed to the wizard/setup procedure (once I completed the 10 minutes training and took the test from within the wizard, it was able to recognize almost every command I tried). Perhaps it's due to the slow CPU (no problem when FS is not running, slow and unresponsive when it is).
Another thing which annoys me is that the program speaks the window changes (announces the dialog boxes... "dialog window"... "flight window") and I can't turn off this, can I? For some reason it is using the (ugly) MS Mary voice for this announcements instead of the TTS voices I've selected in the options.
So, all in all for now my opinion is suspended, hope you can help me to understand what to do to solve these little annoyances.
Thanks!

Fridaychild,

Likely it is the slower CPU causing that when the sim is also running.

Ahhhhh.. single core CPU.  My guess is that is going to be the deciding issue for you.  You might have to wait until you have at least a fast dual core.

Worth trying though.

I've done some more training and lowered the CPU usage slider to minimum, and it's beginning to work, but I still have stutters in the simulation which is particularly bad during landing.
Unfortunately, I'll have to wait.  :(

I've found a freeware software which obviously is nothing like MCE, but can add voice recognition to any computer program, FS included, at no performance cost. It's called "shoot" and it comes with a profile editor to create profiles for any software.
Shoot works in synergy with the MS speech recognition engine (like MCE) and can map voice commands to keys, buttons or sequences.
So far I've created a minimal profile which just toggles the ATC window and chooses between the ATC options, it works like a charm, super fast and accurate.
A good choice for who, like me, cannot fully take advantage of more sophisticated solutions.

downloaded it as well. looks really nice. I have a few problems tho.

when i start FSX w acceleration. it comes up and it says boarded x plane I have loaded. when I then start the flight I dont get any reactions at all.

and I have tried to do the mic calibration and it just makes the program freeze. I am runnin a dual core processor so I have tried to allocate the resources to cpu number 2

anyone have some troubleshooting ideas ??

John thanks for the heads up on this. if I can make it work its def the add on of the year in my book.

KrazyJ,

I am not sure what your problem with it is.
