REX

Postby Plugpennyshadow » Tue May 05, 2009 1:35 pm

I am purchasing REX to run with FSGenesis mesh, GEX and UTX.

What, if anything, would I do to make these four products run together most efficiently?

Just looking for what others do as a yardstick...

Thankie

Just make sure you install them correctly and with reboots inbetween each ;)

I find that REX helps my frames more than hurts them. If I run the same type of weather in FSX default and then again through REX, my frame rates are typically 3-4 fps higher. The main difference is just how much better the REX looks! There's no comparison! When the REX weather loads and it pops in, you feel like your actually outside.

It's amazing!

I'm currently running REX with UTX and GEX and there are no conflicts as they all do different things, the same goes for any mesh.

You don't have to do anything to make

What is REX?

Me gets confused about all the: GEX, FEX, FTS, UTX, FSG, FS, LC,  etc.!

Thanks...

I agree! I wish my program crashes a bit less, though. The more add-ons we have the more I cringe thinking that it'll crash before I get my FSPassengers off the plane  ;D

Does your REX make the runway lights brighter? I tried the luminous settings but the lights still look the same  ::)

Easy now... that doesn't mean it's going to help yours as well. Each system reacts differently to things.

If you're going to be running the 'HD' clouds, that will impact you on any system... Remember that there is no such thing as a free lunch. Also, depending on your graphics card, you may see a hit with a lot of weather actiave. I'm on a GTX 260 and still get impacted by lots of clouds in certain conditions.

Overall though, if you set it up correctly you should be just fine with a lot more eye candy than default ;)

I guess if I don't have any clouds at all at whilst flying ( cost too many frames ), I don't think I'll bother.
