Wow, that 757 pro pack thing appears to usually go for somewhere around US$60 depending on exchange rates, and now its reduced to what appears to be around US$14 today. Almost sounds too good to be true.

Bought the 757 proline package (plus freighter package) yesterday. What a mistake to make..... Even though it looks great and it has all the bells and whistles my frames grind to a halt. This plane really is a framerate user. Can't even taxi around on an empty field with more than 3 FPS. Granted my PC isn't the best (4 years old P4 3.0 Mhz 2Gb RAM 256Mb Nvidia 7800GS), this was a waste of 20Euro. Oh well, can't have everything I suppose....

;)  It's been known for a while that the 757 will make your PC earn it's pay.

I went and bought the 757Pro and as if by magic I've stumbled across loads of posts on various forum in which they say - problems, problems, problems.... and that the support is terrible.

I'm beginning to think I've made a big mistake. Does anyone have any POSITIVE experience with Captain Sims 757 Pro??

I do have positive experience with their 757 and no probs with support.
As to FPS - if you have FSX SP2 installed as minimum system reqs state you'll have no problems.

I don't have any issues at all, I have read about issues but I don't have any, and I run a pretty basic machine.  Captain Sim DOES suck for support, but I love their products.

The Captain Sim support is non-existent, but I am having minimal frame rate problems when using the 757-200 in FS2004. It takes a bit of effort when the aircraft first loads up and I first cycle through the views, but I have had no major issues.

Alright, well there's 3, thanks for that gents, feeling a bit better... ;D

I have several CS products for FS9, love them all, mainly because they look beautiful... but then I just hand fly them around like big C182s. But I actually want to try to fly the 757 properly, one day, and with all the complaints about this and that..... particularly the FMC, autopilot etc... and the fact that if I DO have a major problem they are probably not going to be helpful... :-[

Well...I have to at least try to start it up and see what's going on in the office, it can be my Big Project for this week. One thing's for sure, it's going to be great screenshot-fodder... even if I have to do something I haven't done for years and move the sliders to the left, fly somewhere nice, slap the sliders back up and bingo... ::) ;D

Trying the CS 757 in FSX is pure hardware suicide, just like pushing all the sliders to the right in FSX. I tried the C-130 Demo and it was smoother at frames. I think the 727 Captain may be smoother at frames too. Sad thing is, the CS 757 is the only ultra-realistic 757 there is out there, even though it is expensive and FPS heavy, it's really the Level D 767 of the 757s.. :P Only harder on frames (But really, the CS 757 has alot of features that the LDS 767 doesen't have, like opening engine cowling, nose opening, and much, much more.. quality comes at a price, you know).

So if I were to buy a CS product (will soon, but there is a few things i'll need first: CLS A345+A346, REX, UTX and GEX), it will most likely be the 727.

Seven Two Forever! :D

Just gave the downloads including the serialnumbers to a good friend. If I can't use it, he might.
