The CLS version didn't do it for me, and the Airbus PIC series seems to have some rather glaring flaws in them that would ruin the simulation for me, so is there anything else I could look into at this point?

The only alternative I've seen is the PSS version, but they've gone bust.  :'(

CLS is your best bet.

They may not have the depth of system realism that Wilco do, but like you said, the painfully awful external model of the Wilco is easily enough to put me off forever.

The CLS bird does have a very good external model, and VC (despite lacking most clicky-bits, such as the overhead panel etc.) If you've already purchased both, maybe try a merge? I've not checked if there are any good ones out there, but it might be worth a shot.

I know that overland has some good Airbus models, but they're noob friendly  ;D

Personally, I don't care for any of the Airbus sims out there yet.

Aah, thanks for pointing them out to me, looks like they have everything I look for in a commercial jet simulation.

And the good news is, if their product takes off, then we have an A330-A340 waiting right around the corner for us.

(Once the A320 is released, the 330-340 is already 80% complete right from the get-go.)

I know this is probably an un-justified opinion, and to be honest, I'm really not sure why I think it! But the AirlinerXP Airbus seems to me to be a slightly higher-spec product.

Although neither have been released yet, and its very possible I'll be proven wrong, I just get that sort of idea.

Like I said, no idea why!  :)
