Questions regarding UTX/FEX

Postby ThePilot_Ace » Mon Jul 07, 2008 12:47 pm

Hi there, I was wondering how I could disable UTX textures for rivers/lakes /roads but keep the files which place them in their real world positions (if you get me?).

Does FEX water textures include rivers/lakes or is it just for the oceans?

UTX does not use water textures.. they do however use a water class flie that makes inland water a bit better and also adds a filter to other areas. I use this UTX feature with FEX and it works great

The fliter can be changed in the settings to reflect Ice, murky water, etc.. but you can only select one. I use the CLEAR BLUE option

If you wish to disable the water class you can do that in the UTX menu under LANDCLASS/WATERCLASS - WC WATERCLASS LAYER

Okay thanks. I feel that there is too much contrast between the rivers of UTX and ocean of FEX.
