Hi John,

sorry for the late reply. I have that airport too but not installed at the moment. Let me install it and I'll get back to you.

Crash ;)

Ok, just installed it again and indeed it's haevy on the fps. With all sliders maxed, AI on 80%, clear weather and the default C172 flying around the airport gives me 7 fps. Which is kind of slow. Don't have really fast machine and got things locked at 23 fps anyhow so I don't know how it would be on a high end computer.

I've also got their TJSJ and that works just fine (slows a bit but not as much) so it must be something with KEWR.

C. ;)

Crash,

Thanks for the reply.  At least "misery loves company"  ;).  I'm not alone.

I am REALLY disappointed  >:( with this purchase and was hoping to salvage it.  It was NOT an inexpensive addition.  AND...... It is not only the airport upgrade.... but I also added Aerosoft's AES service to it...... so that seriously increases the pricetag whammy.

Should have tested the airport BEFORE activating AES at it.  My bad!  ::)

Anyway.... maybe when I upgrade my main machine so that I can get FS2004 running the way I want... it'll be useful.

The FSX bit will be WAY dopwn the road for me... I'm still trying to get 2004 working to the level that I want.

Still hoping someone has some suggestions for "fixes".

best,

.............john

Pepper,

Yes, I did.  They really did not have any solutions for that particular airport.

HOWEVER, they demonstrated that they are very much oriented to positive customer service, so that goes a long way in my book when dealing with a company.  So while I may be disappointed that I can't solve my KEWR problem at the moment (without a major computer upgrade) .... I am more than happy with their ultimate response.

Bottom line.... KEWR takes a honking heavy duty system to run ..... but Imaginesim as a company is rock solid to deal with.

best,

...................john
