Unlike FS2004, with FTX it's a case of the lower you fly, the more detail you will see! It's completely the reverse of what you have previously experienced, and it is only when you see FTX in motion on your PC that you will believe how truly immersive flying can now be. :o :o :o :o :o :o :o

It's ture. It looks so much better in motion.
And yes David, FTX AU BLUE is the southern temperate region.

Thanks, got it last night, very, very nice!

Just wish Southern Australia was more mountainous!

I do see that they are working on a Pacific Northwest addon!
8. FTX US BLUE - Pacific Northwest

Holger Sandmann is the project leader on Orbx's first USA region pack. Being a local with a world class reputation for quality and detail, FTX US BLUE will raise the bar ever higher than you've seen already. Prepare to see a makeover of my personal favourite FS region in the entire world - like never before. Combine this with 50+ freeware GA photoreal airfields and you will have the must-have package of 2008.

Will be released later this year.

Should be nice!

Try Flying from YHOT to YCOM.

Is YTYA simulated in AU BLUE?

So what's the difference between FTX (Full Terrain Experience) and GEX (Ground Environment X)?

Does anyone know if FTX will be compatible with UTX-USA? Also where would it reside in the scenery library?

Hey Bob,
the FTX will most likely overlap UTX, FTX has it's own custom landclass and textures. Also FTX is in the first 4 or so priorities in the scenery library. It will over lap everything most likely.
