I am asking for trouble aren't I......

I used to have FE, GE, Ultimate Traffic, Ultimate Terrain USA/Canada/Alaska installed on FS9.

I guess what I was wondering is would I be biting off more than I can chew if I were to purchase the X packages for FSX....

Currently getting from 21-24 to 25-35 FPS and am actually satisfied with it's performance so far.

Adding these would kill it wouldn't it? Especially the Traffic package eh?

I know I should drop back and punt on this one but was more or less looking for opinions.

I can't answer for sure concerning the AI package, but I wouldn't think it'd have much more of an impact then the default AI does.

As for FE & GE I dont think you'll have any issues with FPS if you install them. When I installed them in FS9 I never noticed any change, I would think the newer versions for FSX would also have little to no effect on FPS.

I could be wrong though, I dont have them installed and I dont fly FSX that often (still primarily FS9 for me).

Not nessarly it depends upon your system. I have Acvite Sky X and X graphics installed on FSX and to be honest with you I do not think it has made any noticeable differance at all. As for the AI packages as long as the aircraft are AI only aircraft and you do not have a huge amount of traffic defined you should be ok, But like I said it truly depends upon your system, 8-)
