fsx textures

to me the land textures in fsx to me seem like krakatoa blew and spread a layer of ash over the whole world.......is there replacement available or will be available to inprove this?....i think the fs people wanted to give an effect of atmosphere interference or whatever, but it seems rather to remove any scenery depth and clarity....just an opinion.........

There are freeware sets of European and North American replacement textures out there, google them, can't remember where I saw them. For payware I know Horizon has photoreal textures for the UK, ORBX are doing Australia and then other places soon, Ground Environment X is something I'm eagerly awaiting but I haven't found the site for it yet...all I know is Anthony Vos is 'doing it' but that's all.
