OMWings C-140 problem: wav file?

Been looking for a decent Cessna 140 for FS9, and the two freeware ones I've found are not quite to my liking.
Took a chance with $7 on the OMWings version, and once I undid the stupid auto-installer's folder creations, everything seemed in order, and the model shows up in FS9... until I click "OK" to select it.
Then, FS9 hangs, and after I use Task Mgr to close it, I see the following message:
DirectSound: c140_click 1.wav failed".

I went over the sound folder and the sound cfg with a fine-toothed comb, tried deleting that wav, tried everything, really... but no joy.
I'm pretty sure this particular click is supposed to be heard as you select the aircraft; I've seen this annoying little feature with other payware birds.
anybody have any ideas?

Try dropping that sound file into the main FS9 Sound Folder...See what happens...If that doesn't work, try getting in touch with Oliver....  :-/ :-/

Tried both of those things, but check this out:

Decided to re-install (3rd time) the model, and this time it came up, with sound, but FS9 no monger recognized my joystick.  >:(

So I removed the OMWings stuff from FS9 and re-opened it: still no joystick.  >:(  >:(

Rebooted the PC... all OK.

Put the C140 folders back into FS9, rebooted again... and now it works fine.

::)
