Hi everyone. I'm a newbie at Flight Simulator, so i was watching some Youtube videos on FSX. I came across this one, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XjYAvnx9FtI I was just wondering if anyone knew how to get all the differnt aircraft & airliners into the game. It looks preety cool & makes it more realistic. Can anyone tell me how i can do this?

Thanks.

You need to search for and download the WOAI installer, search for and locate the planes you want as AI and download them.  Then get some flight plans and set them in motion.  Alternatively you can avoid the hard work and frustration by purchasing a commercial alternative.  One example is Traffic, works with FSX out of the box or from download at

Depends on what you're into.

Personally, I use a Saitek X52 HoTaS. Costs a bit more, but I find it worth it. However, ANY stick will work, so long as it has some form of throttle and twist rudder attached. I wouldn't bother with it if it didn't have at least those two (Unless, of course, we're talking about the Thrustmaster Cougar. That's an exact replica of the F-16 HoTaS system, which means no twisting)

Make sure your joystick has a hat switch too.  That allows you to pan around the cockpit when in virtual cockpit mode and it allows you to switch views when in 2D cockpit.  I find it VERY useful.
