Hey everybody,
My birthday was today

, so i got a load of gift cards to my local electronic store (Best Buy) and was thinking about getting Flight Deck 4 to add some military power to FSX and FS9. Is FD4 anygood or should I look for somthing else?
Thanks,
Lt. Air Force
P.S. This would be my first payware product to buy so pointers on what producers are good and other things to look for would be helpful.

FD4 is a "meh" for me...
...the model is "ok"...all the planes that come with it are sub-freeware quality...
...but the carrier ops that you can do in FSX is mind blowing.
There is the nasty bug with the thing though, it takes full power to taxi away from the cables...only to find yourself all lined up with the cat and get blasted right back off the deck...heh
If you got FS9, I suggest you get FDIII, the USS George Washington is modeled superbly, and the entire program is flawless (aircrafts that comes with that package suck even more than FD4 though...)

Personally, I would buy FD 3 or 4, because better Carrier capable aircraft are rapidly emerging as payware and freeware.

I found the carrier itself to be a bit heavy on frames. Could've just been my machine at the time, but I went back and returned it. One of the advantages of working at an electronics store. Don't like something? Just bring it back.
