Anyone have it? Been thinking about getting it. The Su-27 series has always been one of my favorites, and the Su-33 is no different. Plus the Admiral Kuznetsov, means trapping and taking off of carriers is on a whole new level.
What I'm wondering, is what are you opinions of it? Should I go with the new SR-71 and Beale AFB instead?

Cheers mate. ;) Well, if it has folding wings, its good enough for An-225. I haven't tried it but it does look tempting. However, you, must ask yourself what you are looking for. Do you want high and fast recon ops over Russia? Or do you want a fast plane with good manouverability and with the ability to do carrier ops? Do you want low level fun in the Grand Canyon? Or do you want the chance to see the ISS? All up to you.

Thing is... I really want both ;D Only enough of the "Green Stuff" for one though. That's why I'm asking for opinions on both ;)

I would sggest you get Lock-on.
Lock-on is really cheap these days and you get the SU-33 and the SU-27 aswell as the Admiral Kuznetsov. The SU-33 comes with folding wings, tailhook and and of course carrier take-offs and landings are possible. You also get the option to do air to air refuelling. On top of all that there is also of course the A-10, the SU-25, Mig29 and the F-15. Lock-on is of coursea combat sim so you can exploit the full potential of the SU-33. All that fo 10-20 bucks;)

Then perhaps your money is better spent elsewhere (the SR-71, as you mentioned). You're bound to get a better experience out of Lock On, as it's actually been designed for the task in hand (as opposed to flying airliners and GA), not to mention the superior flight engine - surely better with aircraft like the Su-27 and 33.

While this is true, I'm not a fan of LOMAC. I much prefer FS2004's "Simplicity" compared to LOMAC.
I went ahead and got the Su-33. Very nice plane, Very easy to replicate all those stunts that the real things can pull off... Landing on the carrier, on the other hand, is a tad hard ;D
