On a technical note, the F-15 has a number of pretty cool features inside...specifically relating to the XML programmed parts.. Wink They are as follows;

- The exhaust feathers are animated...it might not sound much but bear in mind when our last effort at an F-15 was done (released two years ago on boxing day!) we didn't have the technical know-how that we do today..

- The intakes are completely automated. The intakes move according to the aircrafts angle of attack to ensure optimum airflow into the engines. These are also set to fully down when the gear is lowered and automatically raise when the engines are shut down. The variable doors inside the intakes are also automated to adjust the speed of airflow into the engines for supersonic flight.

- All appearing and disappearing items which show on engine shutdown now show much earlier on after shutdown...no more waiting for ages to see the items show up..

- The boarding ladder code has been reprogrammed to now show when the engines are off and the canopy is over 50% open. this allows you to close the canopy and not have the boarding ladder conflict with the canopy.

- The ailerons on the F-15 droop authentically when engines are shut down..

- The pilot in the C model is fully animated and moves his head, arms and hands with the user inputs.. Alas though, this is only on the F-15C. The F-15D is to complex an aircraft to allow for the additional animations present in the updated pilot figure. As such the D & DJ models feature static pilots.
