Eaglesoft Discontinuation

not the whole group no... ;)

i was looking over at their site in interest for the Premier 1 model with the possibility of buying it.
However i could not find it, there was the Raytheon Beechjet 400/Hawker 400 double pack but no Premier

I e-mailed Eaglesoft and it turns out that the aircraft was discontinued at the end of Sepember 2006.
Thus there is now no, legal, way of obtaining that aircraft.

or is there? does any one know a way?

cheers
james

No.  No other legal way.

I am surprised, as it is unusual for a company to discontinue a product. Normally they stop offering support for it, and still hope to make a small income from the sales...

Looks like there is no way to get it!   :-[

i was wondering that if they no longer represent that product, if they no longer have it, does that mean that the copyright on it would no longer be in effect?

its a long shot, but i really want that plane!!

and i would never pirate it, thats for definate, damn that really sucks

Write Eaglesoft a nice email begging them for the plane. Tell them you will get down on your hands and knees and do anything they ask. You never know what might happen.

its a good plan and one ive been thinking about

but

having discontinued the product wont that mean that they may have delted it altogether and so they no longer have a copy?  Even though that does sound quite a stupid thing to do.

i think i will try that actually

Or maybe talk them into offering it as freeware, as I know a lot of other designers have done  ???

If it's discontinued...I don't think it's classified as Payware any longer...Since no support is given, I would hardly call it Payware anyway...I would think that it should've been offered as Freeware...Strange though... ;)

Check some of the resale suppliers.  They might still have a boxed version...... unless Eaglesoft pulled all of them.

Not sure Eagelsoft even HAD a boxed version......just suggesting some possible alternative course of action here.

best,

Eaglesoft sells only through the FLight1 wrapper system, no boxed version.

Another odd one is the L-39 by Captain Sim. I've been pleading with them about this (along with a few zillion other people) but so far to no avail....

I only remember to be able to get the premie through the Beech 400. Hence why I bought the Beech 400.

Oh well, it was a fun aircraft to fly, thank god I got mine when it came out.

Cheers
Cameron

PS: Eaglesoft popped my cherry with the Citation X
