50North Update

Right, I don't get angry often but to be honest, this is really really p*ssing me off... :-/

50North have been saying for about 5 months now that they are preparing an update for thier 737 model. As of yet is has no VC, and no panel. There is no forum for discussion, and no reply on their email address. The best they have come up with as an update are the wingviews.

To make matters worse they are selling the boxed copy WITH an additional panel, WHY CANT THEY INCLUDE THIS IN THE DOWNLOAD VERSION?  >:( The support for thier product is poor, to say the least, and thier website has not been updated for months now.....

Don't get me wrong, they already have a fabulous model, but they are effectivly selling an incomplete product, which doesnt bode well in my books.....

From a rather annoyed 50North customer...

I have the lastest model with the Wingviews, but its the fact that they are saying that they are going to release a model with a panel and VC included, which they have now been saying for about 5 months. The whole problem with the panel being released in the boxed version isn't the same as redownloading it, its not even included in the wrapper for the newest downloads! So they havnt changed the download version since about 2 months after they realeased it by putting wingviews in...

Honestly, I don't think their model is payware quality.

I have to agree there....it just doesnt seem to have the bells and whistles...The 737 Experience or even the older freeware models are on par quality-wise...and PMDG has a fantastic 2d and 3d cockpit...

The manual is your best friend. It should explain to you how to program the FMC/flights. You shouldn't need any extra software to make flightplans.

It actually costs $15. However, I don't think it offers anything that freeware models don't have.

Well, $15 for the model only isn't that bad...considering there aren't any freeware models that come even close...I would rather spend $15 to get a high quality model...and besides, all updates are gonna be free for us current customers.. 8)

I agree totally Ashar, but it is the lack of these 'updates' that is getting to me!  ::)
