First off relax.

If you are legal, and I have no reason to assume you are not, you have no problem.

Contact Paypal and explain the problem to them. tell them everything you have posted here. Paypal has a buyer protection plan that this should cover. Also by filing a complaint through Paypal you could eventually cut off that source of funding for FSD.

There are legal programs out there, including anti spyware, that may cause this issue.

If it were me I would say Bring it on baby. IF you got evidence produce it in court. In any US court the EULA would come into evidence and the means they decided you had illegal programming also. If there is no mention of checking your system then you have them by the balls.

All they are trying to do is squeeze more cash from you. Hold your ground and contact Paypal first.

OK First a basic explanation of what a keygen does.

Keygen is reverse engineering the code check, then build a program that generates that code.

This usually has MD5 or some other calculation involved.

What has happened: someone who illegaly got the file has the same name as you have (or entered it),
The keygen program calculates the license key from your name / email / whatever else you have to enter in it.

What FSD does is to check this against their database (that's why it gives a firewall warning when installing) to find out if the key is produced by the paypal / sales department or obtained the worng way.

If someone manages to get their name and stuff in with the same key you recieved... the mess starts.

Just sent them the paypal stuff (you kept that didn't you) to prove you legally bought it and they should give you a new key.

Ive never had a problem with FSD and I have all but one of their aircraft...actually 2 if you count the military version of the skymaster.

Ive even had problems with a couple when I had to reformat and contacted them with my information and within a day they gave me the info I needed. I always found them helpful personally.
