Since they are not MDL files and are not breaking any rules or anything, how can i sell some of my tomcat textures?  Im sorry if that offends anybody but the amount of work to make these aircraft and time deserve something.  Anyways, i would like to know of any ideas or known facts on how to do this, anyone who wants to look at pics of my tomcats go to the freeware screenshots, prolly sohuldnt of posted them there since i want to sell them.  Any help would be appreciated.

I do repaints too and I think that the satisfaction of seeing others enjoying your work is enough of a reward. ;) You are not the only one who invests time and effort into their paints, I put 12+ hours of work into my Marchetti repaint and package. :)
You can try sell you repaints but even if you were exceptionally talented I doubt that anyone would buy them. I know for a fact I wouldnt, either do it myself or get one from someone who has painted it for free.

Repaints as a whole are for the freeware market even if its for a payware aircraft.

The time it takes to repaint is normally minimal compared to the time it takes to create a payware aircraft/scenery from scratch, and even some fantastic aircraft/sceneries are freeware.

I did some repaints of Milton Shupe's freeware Beech D-18 that took me 40+ hours to do, and have them uploaded to SimV (I like a dirty bush plane)

Some payware makes you pay for textures, I think PSS makes you buy additional liveries for the 777 (Which is a rip off)

I would beg to differ.

Why should a payware outfit offer for free their efforts?  As SaVas pointed out, hespent 40+ hours on ONE repaint.  Just because PSS has a headstart with the blank files, doesn't mean their artists spend any less time on the repaints.

On a separate subject, when doing repaints, it is more than a courtesy to check the original files/readme to see if the original developers even allow "unofficial" repaints.  In some cases, the developers want to keep some control over the originality of the repaints.  Some developers don't mind uploaded REPAINTS (textures only)...

I think that if you buy the plane, it should be enough for the repaints too.  Its like paying for a hamburgur and havng to buy the bun seperately.  One of the many things I like about MAAM is with the DC-3, I paid for the plane, which came with a bunch of variations but not that many textures.  However, they have a LOT of textures availiable for free

They can choose to make the money out of the people who buy the aircraft and want particular repaints without waiting for the boxed (Just Flight) version...
