I want to know in your opinion what payware aircraft I should make even if there is one out there but it isnt very good in the payware or freeware aircraft world.

What is your intended market?

Do you have a retail outlet set up?  Are you going to approach on of the established payware providers or are you going to market it on your own?

Without having a clue of your modelling and flightsimming background, do you have the modelling capabilities to put out a commercially acceptable model, textures, flight dynamics, and otherwise interesting package?

Basically, have you asked yourself why should someone pay for your model?

Maybe a Beech Starship can be a good seller, I'd suggest go for it!

My intended market is everyone who would want to buy payware. I dont have any market outlet... I am going to put it on simmarket. Any way, my plane will be very high quillity including custom gauges outstanding flight dynamics and all that other stuff. And someone would pay for my payware aircraft because it will be awsome!!!

1 - You linked the image from another site - against Forum rules, so I've deleted the tags to the PHOTO.

2.  Again, considering I do not know your modelling, gauge-building, flight dynamics abilities, may I suggest that no, your market is NOT "everyone who will buy payware".  I buy payware from time to time, but I will NOT buy your Beech Starship - not because *you* built it, etc., but because that type of aircraft does not appeal to me.

So I suggest that your market is a bit more limited.

It might not hurt to put out one or two good freeware models, sort of a teaser for people to see what they can expect from you.  Many payware producers have put out freeware projects, which have the effect of encouraging customers, or freeware producers have had a good following when they went payware.

Please consider my statements as questions to think about to better market and focus your product.

Good luck on your project.

Another idea for a payware project is to release the payware model in a crippled form as freeware. No panel or VC, few or no exterior animations. This allows the users a try it before you buy it option. Though some designers feel this method hurts sales. BTW there is a moderated payware forum further down the forums list. You could probably get more expert advice there.

A try before you buy option is always a good idea. I know a few companies program something into their payware that lets you use the full model for a period of time before you have to register it by buying it. Normally a trial use of 1 to 4 weeks.

Some do have limited abilities compared to the registered version as you mentioned but a lot of people would rather try out the whole package for a limited time rather than test limited functionality then buy and find that they dont like the guages, or animations for some particular reason.

Just things to consider. Have you any freeware models you have built in the past?

A Eurofighter ( or any modern military a/c) would bring in some money for you..

Where-as..
Something like a beech starship would appeal to the other side of the market..

Its a tough decision you have to make.

But i always have to poke someone towards a vampire..  ;)

Wow, I really do like the Starship; too bad it was never much of a sales success.  I'm thoroughly unimpressed with the freeware one out there.   A payware version?  There's a fair chance I'd get it, but I'm afraid your overall market might not be that sizable.  Well, best of luck in your decisions, and cheers!
