I was wondering, can SimWare be trusted? They're asking for the same thing as Alpha 'Give us money now, and we'll get you your stuff eventually"...but unfortunately, they're the only people that I can buy the Just Flight Spitfire from...

That's exactly the same way as it works on ebay! In fact just about anything where you send a cheque etc. No seller ever sends anything until they've received the payment.

If SimWare couldn't be trusted do you really think they'd still be in business?

Con artists can't be trusted, but they're still in business...

and on ebay, if you don't get your stuff, you can report it and they other guy will be screwed!

Yep, but as I said, do you expect companies like Alphasim and SimWare to be phoney. With the reputation each of them has with FS its extremely unlikely, unless its all part of a several year scam... ;)

Anyway, its no different to paying by credit card - you could quite easily pay by card and then "a company" not bother to send the goods...
