Alphasim

I noticed the following problems with two Alphasim products, has anyone else noticed this??

1.  The yaw damper was not turned on (common problem, easily corrected) on both B-36 and C-141.
2.  The Nav 1 radio in the C-141B could not be tuned (1,1,1 in aircraft.cfg should be 1,0,1).
3.   Upon checking the C-141A aircraft.cfg, I found that the entire [radios] section was missing!
4.   The secondary panel of the C-141 that includes the AP is like a piece of fiction that don't fit the story, ill conceived, out of place and doesn't have the correct instruments (like air speed).
5.   There is no "Engineer" panel for either aircraft, and no way to start the engines other than Ctl-E (why???).

Considering the price of these two, I expected better. I don't think I'll buy any more Alphasim products!

That is horrible (payware period is horrible). You should ask for a refund because they did, in effect, sell you a defective product.

have you tried asking about this problem on the Alpha Sim forums?

Phil is very quick with a reply and usually a fix.

If not most of the forum members there know how to fix things

I recently bought a product from Factory Flight Simulations, and had a problem.  They were very prompt in getting back to me.

I can say the same for Bill Lyons, Carenado, and FSD.

Try e-mailing them about the problem...they will probably be quick to fix it!

Definitely contact them. Although I agree their interiors tend to be lacking in functionality, especially in VC, most arent badly priced. I would suspect around the $15 would be more attuned to the quality though.

I guess I should have said it a little differently. I found and corrected the problems noted. But as far as I can tell, these two products have been on sale for some time, at $12 & $16, with these errors left uncorrected! I find that a little unprofessional. But I'll leave it at that since I don't want to start any "flame wars" here (which is also why I won't post this on their board where it could be taken as "trolling").

flame wars and discussing problems/errors with  payware in a level headed way are two completely different things.

Flame wars are just open ended attempts at degrading someone/something/company for no apparent reason other than to be inciteful.

Now discussions as you are aware, even if negatively criticising something in this case something you bought with hard earned money, is perfectly logical, when you describe the problem(s) in detail.
