Hi all...

I am really considering purchasing the F/A-18 made by AF.

so, Is it a good Idea? I love hornets and want a good model, particularly a Blue Angels one. I have seen Gus's Shots and he says it's good, any other opinions?

Thanks!

I haven't had time to purchase AF's F-18 ONLY because I'm simming less these past few weeks and can't focus on something new, however, I can tell you first hand that my other two payware purchases, DSB's BAe Hawks and Real Air's Marchetti 260 are super excellent and for me, worth whatever I paid. In my opinion, the AF F-18 sure looks good in their screenshots. Sometimes ya gotta take a calculated risk.

That's what I'm thinking Apex. The screens of it look fantastic and it's only 16.29 USD!

I think that is a good release. It might be better, but it's good enough for it's price. I would recommend it. There is already one freeware paint for it and I will release one soon

I only have the Canadian CF-18 of Aerial Foundry, but I figure it should be pretty close to the Blue Angels one. For like $20 CAD, its a pretty good deal, nice exterior and interior model. The only thing it doesnt come with are actual F-18 sounds (uses learjet ones), which you can download, but its good...
Im not 100% sure about the flight model, and ive questioned about this on another forum. I can land it, but have to make it go faster than I thought to get the right angle of attack... im no F-18 pilot, i fly Jane's F-18 (yes i know its a superhornet) a lot though, but I could be wrong about it.

Dean's Hornets are pretty awesome.
Regarding how real it is, Jim "Hornit" Campisi, an ex Hornit pilot worked with Dean on this and has stated it's as real as MS will allow it. ;)
Once I get some extra funds and he releases the USN/Marine skins I'm all over it

Ya, ive read on some sites that the approach speed for the hornet is 134 knots... but even with 0 payload, only 15% fuel on center tank, none on the others, i need 160-180 knots just to keep the runway in site and maintaining yellow angle of attack.
