Text-O-Matic problem ?

I just bought the Flight 1 Cessna 172.
Nice payware.
But my question is.
How the heck do you get the text-o-matic to correctly make a new plane with the graphics ?
I have tried it, and they are usually just gray. Before it says the plane is made. You can see the texture in the right window. And it shows up correctly in the airplane cfg file.
If I install textures the way I have on hundreds of other planes. They will show up correctly. But some of the downloaded textures only have two bmp files. And I am not using the one that ends with the _a
Could somebody give me a step by step procedure so I can figure out where the heck I am messing up ?

I realize i probably posted in the wrong section. But i have gotten more help from this site than any other on the Internet !
