hi, don't know if this is the right forum, but how does one get a hold of someone in the maam team. i purchased their wonderful dc-3 but i would really like to know how to change the windows to clear, instead of sort of translucent. they really bother me. maybe there would be a patch available. or am i able to change it in fs9?.....

I don't want to promote another site, but in the spirit of helping other simmers I will give you the best answer I know.  MAAM has a listing inside the Avsim.com forum.  You can post questions there and they are very good at getting back to you.  MAAM has one of the best software support systems around.  You may also look through any readme files that you may have got from MAAM and they might have an email address that would keep you from having to log on to another forum. ;D

There it is, now I will go an hide.... ;D

I'm not sure if the problems are the same but I've had some difficulty with windows in aircraft being hard to see through and from the outside being completely silver. It's a video card issue. Some cards just handle the textures wrong. You can delete a file in the aircraft "Texture" Folder that will clear things up (made a funny  ;D) but you have to know exactly which texture to take out. It's possible to do this by trial and error but make a back up first. Just start lookning through the texture folder and moving any file that looks suspicious. Files such as "Fuselage" likely won't be the culprit but something such as "Window Tint",  "Window" or "Glass" may be. Again, MAKE A BACK UP FIRST.

Or you can do as codered suggested and ask in the MAAM forum. They will likely know exactly which file is causing the trouble if this is what is your problem.

hello savas, thanks for placing add.... (i use fs2004 with g force4 tit. 4200).............. i'm still not sure why my windows can't be clear like most every other plane i downloaded. it doesn't seem to make sense. i know they're (maam) trying to accomodate both fs 2002 and fs2004. does it mean that other player's dc-3 windows in fs2004

Hey Vic,

I will have to tool around in the DC-3 today to see if the windows on mine are more opaque than clear.

And I havent yet been to the MAAM forums this morning to see if there was a reply to your question.

EDIT:

OK I went and checked the forum there, and it does not appear that there is a fix for it. I didnt ask, but what version of Flight Sim are you using?
