I know how to walk around outside the aircraft but correct me if I am wrong. Is there a way to

Set it up so you can also look around using your mouse. Set it so the middle button on the mouse when pressed and held will move the camera angle around, then you can slide it up to look up

My problem with active camera is I cannot get the damned approach view to work GRRRRRR

Another way:
while outside the aircraft, press CTRL+Page up (pan up) and CTRL+ Page Down (pan down)  :)
