I bought the NG also

and I'm choking in the FMC so I was wondering if there is a how to guide to plot routes from i.e. Esbjerg to stansted that ryanair flies or other airports.. so if someone has a how to plot guide plez share

Do you mean a tutorial?....go to there site..here is the linkright to all the information/tutorials and stuff...if you want liveries go to downloads and it will be one of your choices...you won't understand the 737 in one night beleave me...I got so frustrated using it..but after time and a bunch of questions you well understand it

I mean how do you plot the waypoints and stuff from i.e. JFK to SFO ??

Krazyj, The FMC on the 737NG is a bear at first, but they do have a great tutorial, that is about 50 pages on how to use all functions of it. In order to tell you how, it would require writing a book, or at least a 50 page document.

Go to www.precisionmanuals.com and then to downloads. Two specific files you will want are:

Name: PMDG Documentation - Flight Management Computer (FMC)

Name: PMDG Documentation - Autopilot and TCAS

but I recommend downloading and printing all documentation on how to fly the 737NG correctly. Be prepared, it takes close to a ream of paper

Start in this order:

Tell the FMC where you are (position init)

Tell the FMC which route you are flying (ie EKEB -EGSS), this is done in the route page.

Tell the FMC which runway you will depart from and which DP  (departure procedure) you will use (formerly known as SID, standard intrument departure route). This is done in the DEP ARR page

The FMC now needs to know how the route from EKEB to EGSS will look, this is done in the LEGS page.
Type in these waypoint names

MIKRO- TUSKA -WELGO- JUIST -TEMLU- EEL-

Well Savas, every Flight management system is more or less the same, it's just a difference in interface and software language, but they all share the same basic principles  :)

what other neat features should I keep my eyes out for I just got it and I'm still trying to figure it out

Make sure you put the gen. on before takeoff arming the a/t and turn the f/d onalso..this will let vnav hold your speed
