it won't....the info you see on the MFD is the active N1 limit , and since you don't need a higher N1 setting for descent, there is no such setting, which is calculated by the FMC.
The modes are
TO (full power takeoff)
R-TO (reduced takeoff
CLB (climb)
R-CLB (reduced climb)
CRZ (cruise)
G/A (Go around)
CON (max continuous thrust)
