Questionare for Future Ju 87

Postby Scorpiоn » Tue Jun 29, 2004 10:17 pm

I plan on making a CFS3 Ju-87 (Ju 87B-2,D-3,G-1).  The freeware Stuka will be made as if Microsoft made it; nothing extra, nothing lacking.

Later on, the a FS2004 will be released featuring a freeware and a payware version.

Planned Features for Freeware FS2004: ACOF Ju 87:
  • All Standard FS2004 Features.
  • Secondary canopy open the engine compartment, with fully animated engine.
  • Ju 87 variants included: V1,B-2/Trop,H-3.
Planned Features for Payware FS2004: ACOF Ju 87:
  • Everything in the Freeware Version.
  • Ju 87 variants included: V1,V1(Modified),A-2,B-2/Trop,B-2/U4,C-0,R-1,D-5,D-7,G-1,H-3.
  • Higher than Microsoft standard regaurding polys/detail.
  • Customizable VC.
  • 1 paint request.
  • Animated pilot.
  • When the plane is landed, at a full stop and "cold", a ground crew will come around your plane.

What other features would you fine gentlemen like in a payware aircraft?

One thing I love about some designers is when the plane is completely shut off, is the pilot disappears leaving an empty cockpit, which to me adds a sense of realism. Think Lynn and Bill Lyons' aircraft, where the '/' key makes them disappear and reappear. Its small touches that make me a payware buyer that are not often found in freeware aircraft (and even some payware)

I would also recommend a 'dirty' version. A plane thats been through the ringer but still flying.

Your concept sounds great though.

Weird

The only problem with that, is the pilot gets out, but where does the pilot go?  Does he just disappear?  Does he stick his hands in his pockets and rest against the fuselage?  The latter might be possible.  It's an interesting concept tho'. :)

All the aircraft will be appropriately weathered, because I've never seen a fresh aircraft.  Even brand new aircraft has a chip or two in the paint.  Only the prototypes will have relatively spot-free paint. ;)

And...

I see your point, but I just don't like the idea of a pilot that just flat out disappears.  I was trying to stay away from it as much as possible, but I could release different vesions. :P

Would a pilot just loafing around outside his aircraft offer as much emersion as an abandonded aircraft?

Change of plans: I've regained contact with somebody who was making a Ju 87, so I guess there's no need to make mine.

I'll see what he thinks about my ideas tho'.
