Lago - what is happening there ?

Postby IanR » Wed Dec 31, 2003 1:37 pm

Being new to all of this and recently having bought (faulty) TMS products which they agree are in need of 'repair' - I have picked up on something about people leaving Lago.

Can someone enlighten me as to what is happening there ?

Regards to all

Will FSE help me to turn onto the VOR vector without getting all screwed up ?

Have a great New Year (and stick a pin in that doll thing before it wears you out)

Best to all FSSSSSEEEERS

Hmmm, speaking of the update Paul, I downloded it, but there were no instructions on installing it, it's just a zip file with some folders in it, but nothing on where to put them.
Now Shaun says to unzip to a temp. folder & then copy the four folders to the root FS9 folder, but I disagree with that cuz two of those folders are named "Flights" and "Modules". As far as I can see this would completely overwrite the FS9 flights, & Modules folders.
Which would eliminate all your default as well as saved flights, and the modules you have(FSUIPC, FssSound ect.) woud it not?
Well, im not doing it till I get some kind of "Official" instruction from Lago, not just other users.

Hi Chuck...
I know what you mean about the lack of 'structions... ::)...!
..but I did as Shaun suggested, unzipped, put all four folders into the  Main FS 2004 Folder, overwrote when it asked "overwrite", and everything works fine.... ;D...!
(When you open your FS 2004 Folder now you will see four additional folders there...thats OK).... ;)... ;)...!
By the way have you downloaded the additional enviormental sounds now? (There are close on 200 at the moment).... ;D...!
It's a fantastic program now, with the sounds included... 8)...!

Cheers mate... ;)...!
Paul.

P.S. together with FSE and FS Navigator included, I am completely hooked on FS 2004 now...FS 2002 is slowly sliding into the background... ;)...!
LOL...!

;DNo worries mate, I just unzipped it all staight to the FS9 main, and this time it gave the overwrite message( which I knew, and was expecting.) but was referring to "individual files" not an entire folder which when I was trying to just copy the unzipped folders it said that the folder would be overwritten, which is what made me stop as I was worried about that.

But yeah, everything is in order now, update installed, and all is is shipshape & bristol fashion!  :P

I just love the sound thing, sure brings a place to life!
Now to add some tracks and have some fool driving around like a nut!! ;D

...and as for you , Ian.... :P...!
You leave my "Vinyl Vera" alone..... >:(...!
She keeps me all warm and cosy on these cold Winter nights...
She doesn't nag me, have headaches, or wants to go shopping in Laura Ashley's... ::)...!
..and all she cost me was a bicycle pump... ;D...!
LOL...!

...and no, FSE won't help you with your "VOR vectors"...
but, like the AA Man says, I know something that will....."FS Navigator"... ;D...!
LOL...!

Cheers mate... ;D...!
(Keep painting the Forth Bridge.).. ;)...LOL...!

Well I dont know, but they sure are being awful quiet about this flaw with the update to ver. 1.2, I found this post at aerosoft though...................... ::)

http://forum.aerosoft-shop.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=28

Seems to me this info should be at the Lago forum, to at least let folks know about it, but instead they have not, in fact there's an official announcement of the 1.2 patch on the front page.
Seems to me that if there's a problem with it, they should at least not make a flawed patch so "official" ::)

Hi Chuck...!
Thanks for the link... ;)...!
It seems as tho' LAGO have two inter-dependant Forums on the go now....?
...strange... ::)...!

My Version 1.02 is working fine as long as I take care in what I am doing... ;D...!
I expect tho problem will be sorted soon...?

Paul...always the optimist.... ::)...!
