Will ORBX FTX Global work with Texture Max Load?

Just purchased ORBX FTX-Global Base. Backed up FSX World-Scenery-Texture default files and downloaded FTX Global using installation according to their instructions now my FPS are in the toilet. Was able to get 30fps at any airport world wide but now only able to get 3.5 to maybe 7-8 until out of airport area then fps returns to 30. Tried uninstalling Global and reinstalled FSX default W/S/T but still only get low fps. Tried setting scenery sliders to default. This helped some, 10-13fps but is very choppy on approach. Was told FPS would not be impacted. System specs are I5-3570K OC @4.0GHZ CPU, 16GB Corsair XMS RAM @1866MHZ, 2TB Seagate HDD, AMD Radeon 7870 2gb GPU, Gigabyte GA-Z77-HD3 MOBO, 800W PSU and Corsair Hydro H60 Liquid cooling with 120mm push-pull fan setup and 3 120mm case fans. Am wondering why fps stayed low after reinstalling default FSX World Scenery Texture files. Any ideas????? I still have 1.59gb of storage left on HDD if that helps.

Your system is faster than mine, and your graphics card is MUCH better than mine was a year ago.


This isn't exactly your problem, and the only reason I bring it up is that at the time, Jul 20, 2014, I was using a AMD HD Radeon HD 6850 with only 1GB of ram on a slower machine than yours.

I'm also going to bet that you don't have FTX Central 2. Download it (ignore the word Beta) and make sure that FTX Global is active

Still unable to get my fps back up. All settings on default except fps which is set to unlimited ( helps some ) and airline traffic which I set at 50% to have a nice collection of AI airlines at my airports. Don't know were to turn next. Have been in contact with ORBX but no help from them yet.

Finally have my fps at a rate I can live with. After moving KLAX_ Photo-Real _3.0 to top of scenery library my lowest fps is 10.5 and increases as I start my takeoff roll to high teens then jumps to upper 30s over the end of the runway and continues to climb into the low 100s once clear of LAX airspace. FPS goes down as I get closer to LAX and drops to 10.5 over the end of the runway but climbs to mid to high teens after turnoff so it will do for now. Downloaded FTX Central 2, had very little effect on fps. Frame rate set to unlimited. Love KSLC FPS never drops below 45.I will be using LAX as my fps test area from now on.

I have just brought orbx EU UK as an addition to my FTX.
But when I activate my UK it disables my Global FTX.

Don't they run together ?
