More on Snow and PrecipitFX

Postby OldAirmail » Sun Dec 28, 2014 9:26 am

Something entertaining. And something interesting.

I stumbled across this interesting bit of Christmas cheer, and immediately noticed something.

LOOK AT THE SNOW! :o

A short time back I posted BEWARE:These images may upset some people!

It looks like I made a mistake, or two.

When I installed PrecipitFX it looked ok, but only ok.

I figured that it was just my setup that was causing it to look only so-so (nothing really special).

After looking at this video, I'll have to delete & reinstall it. Obviously, I did something wrong.

(PS - this is on Vimeo, so I'm using my old system of posting it. Just click on the picture to watch the video)

I can remember "snow effects" like that on our TV screens in the olden days, before folks had to fit ignition emission suppressors to their sparking plugs!

At the moment I'm getting neither interference on my screen.. or bloody snow outside...which is very nice!... ...!

OAM...

Your kind offers might impress the likes of the car-thieving Toe-Rags, stealing cars, in TV CBS Reality; "Bait Car"....

...but they don't fool me!... ;) ...!
