I am sticking with FS9 too.  My FS9 with mods looks better than the highest setting I can manage in FSX without stutters.  Not to mention I hate the aircraft selection screen.

Thanks Jet Black1 for posting the email you sent...I too sent them an email.  i did get a reply, but I emailed them regarding what aircraft they would relese next.  i didn't even get an honest answer.  They said the next would be a cessna 206!  I already have the 206, and it's for my beloved FS9.  I was very clear in my wording of "what NEW model they would make".  I even told them the only company worthy of doing a Cessna 180 would be them, they didn't respond.  So carry onward 2004 technology, you will always be better (minus water textures) than FSX!  I will just shut the:-Xup from here on out if they are going full FSX and not even making a NEW model for it.

Don't forget that there are a lot more addons available for FS9 compared to FSX

I'm not sure this is what i expected as a response to a simple question of why no good cessna180's for flightsim!  A bad way to get one is to put pressure on a company.  I do appreciate the attention the posts have gotten, but I like a positive atmosphere for flightsim, no offense Jet Black1.  I think we can all agree that we have a lot to look forward to for the future of FS....Cessna 180's, Husky's, all sorts of cool stuff.  But lets keep it positive and maybe a company will make these aircraft for us to enjoy ;D

I read somewhere a while ago a statement saying that the Carenado group only models aircraft that they have extensive access to in the real world, which I believe was interpreted as only modeling aircraft that are present at the local airfield that they have access to.
I guess it all depends on what they can get their hands on where they live. I don't think that emailed photos of a particular aircraft cut it with these guys, which can be good and bad, depending on your point of view.
