Traffic question

General discussion about payware add-ons

You will see both!
But if one airport hasn't enough parking slots installed, it may happen that approaching traffic just disappears on touch-down!
It can happen that the utility to setup traffic of a payware add-on deletes or overwrites your WoAI or whatever traffic,
but generally you should be able to use all packages simultanious - depending on your CPU power, AI traffic is a monster...

It's not as bad as it was in FS2002...100% meant 15FPS MAX for even some of the best computers at the time ;D

I use Traffic 2005, My Traffic X, all of UGA's AI, the realistic WOAI aircraft, and HTAI's Cessna Package. I keep my GA & Commercial, settings at 100%, unlimited frame rates, and all other settings at 70% - 100% with no problems. I always have plenty of traffic, even in the "out of the way" places I sometimes "fly". Everywhere else is jam-packed with all types of AI traffic and ALOT of radio chatter. Hope this helps. Semper Fi, Dave

Judging by the number of problems people seem to be getting with WOI and other do-it-yourself AI packages as shown in the AI forum I think I'll stick with the payware stuff - rather spend my time flying!

Yeah Sean, there is a definate learning curve in dealing with AI. I've been tinkering with FS9 from when it first came out, but I never did anything really serious will FS9 other than "fly" the stock set up, until about two years ago when I ran across SimV. That was when I really began learning how to add aircraft, edit aircraft files, etc, etc...then I learned of a whole other section of FS dealing with the AI traffic. I had to learn what TTools was, flight plans, and all these other related items that were necessary to make things work properly. I bought my first payware item about 6 months ago and I moved into that area a bit, and there are some good benefits to payware programs, and the are some downsides also.
