IRIS 50% Off

Postby RaptorF22 » Thu May 24, 2012 7:41 am

To celebrate the relaunch of their online store, IRIS is having a 50% off sale.
Supposed to last through this weekend I think.

Bummer, the mudhen is not part of the sale. Thats the one i really wanted. Gonna have to hope and wait for the $5 Christmas sale!
My specs... A hard drive, motherboard, graphics card, some memory, a keyboard, mouse, and monitor - in other words, nothing special.

I just bought a couple of planes but the downloads are extremely slow, and they always fail after a while ! I hope they fix their online store soon :/

Yeah, I've been communicating with IRIS about that on their Facebook page and via email and it looks like everything is working as of now; they were having trouble with their server timing out.
I finally bought the Mudhen yesterday afternoon, and was only able to download it about an hour ago, I'll be flying it tomorrow and be posting some shots after I get some of my airshow pics up. :)

Thank you very much Raptor for this information. I have no access to Facebook so I posted about my problem on their forums yesterday evening, but didn't check the answers yets.

I have no bought the F-15, because I'm still hesitant with the Milviz one.
However, I have bought the BD-5 (only for the prop version, do be honnest :) ), the Spartan, the Raptor and of course the A-10. Can't wait to try them :D

Yeah, after a little bit of research, the only thing that looked better about the Milviz one was being able to actually shoot AI down, other than that, I think the IRIS is probably the best.
The Raptor and the A-10 are awesome from personal experience, don't know about the others, but I'd expect they are great as well. :)

I don't really know honnestly. I keep reading here and there that the Milviz one has a much more realistic and complete avionic, which is what interests me more. Knowing IRIS, I'm pretty sure that the 3D model and the virtual cockpit look much better in the IRIS one, but the Milviz one has its advantages in the systems, in the realism, that is.

I have now successfully downloaded all of my archives from the IRIS store, finally. Tonight I'm going to have some massive test flying session :D
