NickN - Help with Addon Install

Hey guys - new guy here! Here are the list of my addons

FSGenesis - Full pack
FScene4x - Full pack
UTX - USA
GEX - USA & CANADA
TrafficX
Flight Deck IV

I have 3 Hard Drives: 1 74G RAPTOR, 1 150G RAPTOR & 1 300G Velociraptor

Do I have to install these addons inside FSX? If not, which ones don't I have to install and would it be better to install them on the same drive (partionted) or on a different drive all together.

OK, I have done some more reading - Is it better to partation the 300GB Velociraptor into 2 parts and install FSX on one of them or one 150GB Raptor just for FSX?

With GEX its just a interface and a database.. install it where it wants to go on the OS drive.. the interface SENDS textures to FSX by your command after it is installed

FSCENE: If this covers the same area as GEX you will LOSE GEX to a overwrite and BE AWARE just becuse one is for Europe and another for USA you will STILL LOSE becuse there are shared textures for USA and Europe!

MAKE SURE GEX TEXTURES ARE INSTALLED LAST

I do not know how FScene works.. if it installs and overwrites install or if it provides a interface.. regardless you will kill GEX with it if it covers anything in the USA/Canada and parts of Europe



Install FSX and the others to the 300GB VRap which is the best drive in that tower

Hello Everyone..I have a question for NickN actually as an expert/developper (guru?!?!?) of UTX_GEX series.

Actually for me, and for many FSX users, it is all about realism. And that is what Flight 1 series of excellent addons strives to achieve. I have bought UTXEurope, UTXUSA, GEXUSA, REX and as much as I have really loved these products, I have found recently that there is another levels of realism achieved by using FSEarth Tiles software that downloads real satellite images on your FSX.

However, UTX's excellent work has taken even this a step further. I have found that by allowing only the UTX road network in your FSX scenery library, you can get real moving traffic on top of your photo real scenery!!!

That is all due to the amazing work done to perfectly align the road networks to satellite data that I assume UTX was developed with? See some pics below....

What I wanted to ask you NickN, is whether you are aware or willing to give a thought on any other merging/combinations that can happen between these two FSX 'addons' to will give an extra realism boost....??!??
