Airbus Question?

Postby Flying Mouse » Thu Jan 29, 2009 7:39 am

I looked at both, Overland is far cheaper then Wilco.

Which of the 2 should I buy?

I also noted they have a Boeing edition. Any ideas on it?

Thanking helpers in advance

I have the Overland Airbus package, and one thing to keep in mind is they are basically just as complex as the default flight simulator aircraft. They look nice, and there are tons of addon liveries for them, but the complexity is not there, if that is what you are seeking.
I am not familiar with the Wilco offering.

I agree on the overland thing. The planes are very similar to FS planes: no FMC and complex buttons and switches. Anything Wilco you can expect to be modelled well, great paints, FMC, complicated panels, and a big hit on frames.

In short:
Wilco- More real.
Overland- Easier, but quality of model just as good.

In my opinion, you're better off waiting for this...

http://www.airsimmer.com/

I only discovered it last week, but i'm looking forward to it. It sounds extremely complex, but if you're a fan of PMDG like myself, it should be right up your street :)

I second the above post. I've heard very mixed reviews about Wilco and Overland. Just wait for Air Simmer...it looks like it sounds like they are getting close...(famous last words  ::)).

I must say, CLS Airbus pack looks good.

Not too complicated, good quality and reasonably priced.

Overland is now out of the picture  :D
