FSX SP2 Not Compatible?

Postby OVERLORD_CHRIS » Fri May 23, 2008 2:26 pm

I have been looking around for some good pay stuff and every time I see something I like it says for 2004 Only or FSX Compatible but not for use with SP2. Does that mean I that I can't use it at all if I got it? Or if I do, do I take the risk of something going bad?

B-1B I was looking at: http://www.alphasim3.com/store/product_ ... ucts_id=98

Also if I were to get 2004 pay planes would they work in FSX or do I need to have 2004 to transfer them over to begin with because FSX is all I have.   Or should I not even bother?

I would hesitate buying any payware to use in FSX/SP2 unless they specifically say if it was built for SP2. I've already purchased one aircraft that was 'FSX Certified', but FSX/SP2 didn't like it at all. I wouldn't even buy any FS2004 payware for FSX/SP2. Don't throw your money away on something that WILL have incompatibility problems

I almost considered buying the WOP II B-17 package. Even though the website says it was built for FSX, it doesn't mention SP2. I e-mailed them three times specifically asking them if it was an SP2 aircraft, but the two replies I got back don't even mention SP2 compatibility. So unless I find an answer somewhere else, I refuse to shell out the cash while hoping for the best

So it would be a good idea to email Alphasim and see what they say? Cool thanks for the input.

Even if they say "yeah it works" or "it's approved" whateva, look around here first....some planes aren't so good, nor scenery, etc.

If you decide to get it though and it works well, let us know, that's pretty neat!
