[quote]Nick maybe you could help me on this one?

I really wanted to get GEX but I only use internet @ work. That means I download content/installers onto my laptop, cut the content/installers onto a memory stick.

I then install the content onto my FSX PC @ home. I live in a country where telecomunications expenses are absurd.

Now I noted that once I have downloaded the installer and paid for it, I still require online activation.

Does that mean i am doomed? I there a CD version of this most wonderfull program I can bought?

Thanking you.

VERY nice work Nick, amazing!! Just a few months ago you were posting your upgraded lighting and thinking about whether or not to offer it to GEX as a freebie    ...now you've upgraded the whole thing!

I see you say Europe next. Any chance you'll be cooperating on that with Mr Vos so that the original product is already enhanced when you buy it? I want to buy Europe for sure... A.Vos should just make you a partner in the whole project, and if then you don't want to be paid for your work with him well that's up to you  ;D

And will an 'enhanced version' of GEX North America be available to buy too? I don't fly much in the US but maybe one day... downloading the whole GEX and then downloading the whole enhanced GEX seems a bit time-consuming....

Cheers

Thanks for taking the time Nick - I don't visit that site because I've no immediate plans to buy the product - maybe I should have checked, eh? Anyway, that's great news, great!

It's becoming more and more clear that while FTX will be awesome, any talk of them covering the whole world within the next couple of years is most probably pie in the sky - there's just too much for them to do to get the level of detail they want and people will expect after Aus Blue. And even if they did many people couldn't afford all the packs. So GEX is simply, like GEPro before it, the best quality texture replacer for FSX you can get in terms of bang for the buck. And you're helping to make it even better. Superb!

After finally remembering to turn off that d...d accursed Vista Defender, I have successfully downloaded and reinstalled UTX USA and Canada 9. And trying to put the Cloud 9 landclass in the right place. In fact I finished the reinstallation at 7am this morning and spent an hour when I should have been heading off to work flying around Friday Harbour and Victoria.

Tonight, Europe, GEX, and FEX to make the credit card even sicker, and the reinstallation of AFX.

Nick you guys are not evil performance killers, your objective is clearly to impoverish addicted Flight simmers.

NickN - I've got GEX and the UTs as well as ASX and XGraphics running on the new quadcore.

You are to be congratulated, the visual world of FSX is now really coming alive and shows its capacity over previous versions.

Again your contribution is great - and by the way I see no reason for you not to have been paid.

All we need now is alpha fade.

I want GEX, but it's so friggen huge I would be crucified if I were to download it because Australian internet sucks. Do shops have Gex?
