problem with simmer sky panels

Postby FsNovice » Wed Nov 21, 2007 3:09 pm

been having serious with my Fs recently, backed up all aircraft and then reinstalled. All appeared good, expect for one minor glitch, on my simmers sky airbus fleet, none of the digital panels appear to work. I cant seem to find the nessecary files anywhere on my pc

Yes i know the quality isnt what it is usually, but i just wanted these uploaded quickly to illustrate the problem and neglected the settings in PSP!!!

those black parts of the display should be showing my digital altimiter, my artifical horizon and my eicas etc. Any chance anyone has these aircraft and
A, has a fix for this OR
B, has the panel files for me to copy to my own plane.

What is quite perculiar is that it has managed to load the backup attitude indicator and the backup airspeed indicator and so forth, but not these digital displays

any help would be massively appreciated. I fly for a Va, and i fly mostly the a340-600 and would much appreciate any help. Luckily all my scenery reinstalls worked perfectly!!!

Looks to me that you are missing the gauges...Re-install the product...That should cure it...They have a knack of sharing gauges from their other add-ons... ;)

i would reinstall, if i could find the install file on my pc. I could have sworn i kept it safe, but now i cant find it. I will keep looking, but if all else fails i may have to resort to sending a nice pleading email ;) ;) to simmarket to see if i can be excempt from their download date limit, which i have considerable overrun.

I gave up on finding the install file, searched my entire hard drive. So my ticket has joined the queue for assistance!!!

Thanks ashar for pointing me in the right direction as to the fix!!

sorry to rant, but after contacting sim market using the trouble ticket system, the only response i got was a standardised reply saying as i had been so "stupid" i must pay them Euro 3.99 for the priviledge of getting to something i had paid for already, granted i could have kept the backup more secure, but due to XP problems that hasnt happened. They didnt even answer my inital query, where i had explained the circumstances as to why i had been  unable to comply with the idea of backing the data up!!!

I am seriously considering if i will ever buy through sim market again, what a useless customer service. Its not like it costs them anything to give me the link to the file on their servers is it. I know they are perfectly within their rights to do this, but surely some leniency is needed. 3.99 per download!!!!!!

Outrageous

Rant over!!!

Back up on cd or dvd. They don't crash like HDD's. Keep them stored on date, name or product so you can find your stuff back easily. Especially stuff you pay a lot of money for to download is more safe that way. And what is the cost of a pack of cd's these days?

Crash ;)
