Ultimate Traffic

Postby freedomhays » Mon Jun 11, 2007 4:20 am

I downloaded and installed Flight One Ultimate Traffic for FSX,  restarted the computer like it says to do, then I compiled routes and traffic like you are suppose to do,  then when I started FSX there are no aircraft anywhere.  My traffic slider is all the way up to 100% in FSX.
I unistalled the program and deleted all the associated files then a fresh download from Flight One and reinstalled.  I did this twice,  still no traffic.  Not even the defaullt FSX traffic.
Is there anyone here with this simular problem... :)

When you compiled them did you click  "check all" or check the areas you wanted on the compile screen?
Other than this there isnt much id recommend besides the F1 forums or emailing them.

Good luck ;)

Here is what I did when I noticed that problem

start the UT tool.. go to COMPILE

UNCHECK everything then click ok, when it asks you if you want to recompile, select NO

Select COMPILE again, check everything you want and compile it. When its finished it will ask you if you want to make the new traffic file, select yes

When its done it will give you a warning about multiple BGL files.. that ok its a know issue and not a problem

go to the FSX directory and browse:

Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Scenery\World\Scenery

look for the following files:

trafficAircraft.utb = this is the original FSX traffic file renamed so it does not screw up UT

traffic.bgl= this is the new traffic file made by UT it should be like 60MB+ in size

If you do not see what I posted above UT did not make the file or did not put it in the right place. I dont know if Vista is different from XP

Now, what I did was RENAME the traffic.bgl file AFTER I compiled the new traffic. I named it the ORIGINAL FSX name: trafficAircraft.bgl

I have not had any trouble since with setting trffic levels or not finding traffic

The FSX.cfg file should have this line in it under the MAIN heading:

SimObjectPaths.6=SimObjects\UT Aircraft

Thats all I can pass on about the issue. I had a similar problem and I am not sure which step fixed it for sure but it works now

I did't have the SimObjectPaths.6=SimObjects\UT Aircraft in the CFG folder
