Now that I'm finally bringing in paycheques, I can afford to treat myself to a small payware purchase every once in a while. Problem is, I don't know what to choose from. Just because I'm earning some money now doesn't mean I can go crazy with payware, so I have to choose carefully. I'd like to hear some opinions from the more payware-savvy folks before I open my wallet, to perhaps make the decision a bit easier, and to be sure that I'd be getting something that will keep me busy for a while.
My choices are as follows:
- The AlphaSim Tu-160 Blackjack. I was quite impressed with what I've seen of this package. It has a great visual model, and plenty of repaints to play with. But the price is a bit steep, so I'm somewhat wary.
- The Bear Studios MiG-15. I really like the look of it. It seems like a fun kite to toy with, and comes with several paints right out the box, as well as a fantastic VC. However, I'm not sure what the price is, so that may be a deal-breaker.
- IGFly's Domodedovo scenery. Normally I avoid payware sceneries, but this is literally the ONLY good Domodedovo scenery for FS9. I've been dying to fly round UUDD, but the default FS9 version is a bit off-putting. This scenery looks quite nice, and I'd get to go "virtual planespotting" with all the Russian traffic I've built up. Still, like the Blackjack, the price is quite steep, so I'm still on the fence.
That's basically it. I look forward to hearing your opinions, and I thank you in advance for your help.
