General discussion about payware add-ons

Opinions of my add-on strategy.

Postby Gary R. » Wed Jan 04, 2006 6:46 pm

In the last month I find myself significantly less restrained on how I might spedn any disposable money (wife separated).  Anyway, I have done some thinking and there are many add-ons I want for my FS in several catagories but limited disposable cash to get even close to all on my list.  So, I came up with a logical short list which would give me the greates overall value.  I have decided that to start off with rather than buying planes or sceneries or any other is what it is package that I shall first off buy add-ons that I can use and re-use in various different ways.

1. Realityxp avionics
2. Register fsuipc
3. A better panel editor than cfgedit.

I feel this strategy will purchase me greater overall value than single purpose add-ons like planes and scenery.

The realityxp gauges and registered fsuipc will greatly enhance most of my freewares adding realism and functionality and complexity.  Since I am rarely statisfied with most freeware panels I feel the a quality panel design software will be an overall asset toward what I can do to increase my realism and pleasure with any cockpit.  What do you guys think?  Does this seem like a good start off plan?

I cant' speak from a whole lot of experience....But you cant' go wrong with the 'Reality' stuff.Good solid gauges, they perform extrodinarly well in the payware planes that I have bought.
Havent' purchased it yet, I'm using the demo but FS Panel Studio looks easy to use.
Every body rants and raves about registering FSUIPC......I never have, Just dont seem to need all the extras....But you may need to if you get into the "Development end"
IMHO......
