Super80 Problem

Hello all,
I have a small problem with the Flight1 Super 80....how the heck do you turn on the any of the exterior lights?? I mean the strobes, nav lights, etc etc....hitting L works...but after 2 seconds the lights go out...and when seeing the manual, there is no mention whatsoever of the exterior lights...WTF??
Any ideas?

If I'm not mistaken, all lights are located on each side of the autopilot panel. So the captain controls the landing lights while the F/O controls the anti-collision, strobe etc.
