Troubleshooting

Released in 1997, FS98 was heralded at the time as a great new Flight Simulator.

Troubleshooting

On accasion, the plane I select appears with engine(s) running and prop(s) turning.  Shortly thereafter the sound cuts out and the prop(s) stop(s) turning.  If I switch to a different plane, it may or may not do the same thing.  Does anyone know what may be my problem?

The only thing I can think of is that the panel you are using shuts down the engine when you select the airplane. For example some panels have the fuel cuttoff gauges turned on by default. You have to start up the engines.

These are planes that I have flown before without a problem.  I was thinking that it must be a setting or option in FS98 itself.  The King Air 90 has engine start switches but they are inoperable.
